Target Audience

Blackmoor’s audience is made up of home cooks looking for quality kitchenware at an accessible price point. These customers value products that are dependable, easy to use and designed for everyday life. Whether preparing midweek meals or cooking for friends and family, they want tools that perform well without stretching the budget.

Many customers were already familiar with Blackmoor through Amazon. The opportunity was to give this audience a direct channel to purchase from the brand, while building trust and offering a clearer view of the full product range.

Client Challenge

Blackmoor wanted to launch a direct to consumer website to sell products beyond Amazon and gain greater control over the customer journey. While Amazon provided visibility, it limited how the brand could present its range and connect directly with customers.

Alongside ecommerce functionality, the site needed a blog area to support search engine visibility and provide useful content for customers. The platform had to combine performance with flexibility, ensuring it could support both product sales and ongoing content creation.

Solution

We built a headless Shopify website using Gatsby for the frontend and DatoCMS as the content management system. This approach delivers high performance browsing with a secure Shopify checkout, while giving the internal team an intuitive system to manage blog content and site updates.

The headless setup ensures the site is fast and responsive across devices, supporting both product discovery and SEO growth. DatoCMS enables the team to publish and manage content independently, helping Blackmoor strengthen its organic visibility over time.

The new website provides Blackmoor with a dedicated direct to consumer channel, giving the brand greater ownership of its customer journey and digital presence.
